Don’t be a sore loser, shane tells Sachin
The Shane Warne-Sachin Tendulkar rivalry is legendary. Although their much-anticipated clash did not materialise during Friday's match, sparks continue to fly. After Mumbai Indians lost to Rajasthan Royals on Friday, after his team were skittled for 94, Tendulkar lodged an official complaint that t
he slow andlow pitch was not up to the standard. Venkat Sundaram, chairman of the cricket board's grounds and pitches committee, flew down to Jaipur on Saturday to supervise preparation of the wicket for Sunday's game against Pune Warriors. Though the local curator said Sundaram's was a routine visit, Warne didn't like it one bit.
“I was disappointed with his (Sachin's) comments. I think Mumbai are making an excuse for the loss. When you get outplayed, you should admit you have been outplayed,” said Warne. “I have seen other pitches too and there have been really bad and slow tracks elsewhere. When we got bowled out for 80 against KKR, we did say wicket was slow, but we also said we were outplayed. They should admit they were outplayed,” the Rajasthan Royals skipper said.
