Sachin Tendulkar desperate to take strong come back for the play-offs

Sachin Tendulkar desperate to make a strong comeback for the playoffs
After two consecutive defeats, Mumbai Indians captain, Sachin Tendulkar, said that they need to get back to their winning form in order to qualify for the knock-out stages in the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) fourth edition.

The playoffs will commence from May 24th with four top qualifying teams.
Mumbai, under the leadership of Sachin Tendulkar, took an impressive start in the tournament with two consecutive wins. They remained dominant almost throughout the ongoing league with maximum points. However, their last two defeats to Kings XI Punjab and Deccan Chargers have shifted them down at the third place in the IPL standings.

Out of 12 matches they have played so far, Mumbai have won eight and earned 16 points. The skipper, while talking about the sudden decline in his side’s performance, said that the situation can reverse at any stage in this format of the game.

The Indian batting icon also added that his side has played a couple of difficult games and they need to get success in the tough situations. The veteran asserted that losing a match at this stage is easy than losing at the knock-out stage.

The skipper said that they had a control over the game till the 19th over against Deccan’s batting but they did not show a stable performance while batting.
“The ball was gripping quite a bit, not to our liking. It was stopping and coming. We used up a lot of balls and also lost wickets, it was a slow but certain death I felt", he said.
