Bid for Sachin Tendulkar’s T-shirt in CM’s toshakhana auction
Good news for die-hard Sachin'sfans. You can make a bid for the master-blaster's t-shirt from amongModi's collection with the base price of just Rs1,000.
The annual exhibition and auction of the gifts, given to the chief minister at various occasions, will be held at theRavishankar Raval Art Gallery at Law Garden from January 27 to January 29.
Modi deposits all the gifts given to him in the state government treasury — also known as Toshakhana.
Sachin's t-shirt is one of the 1,367 different items, which will be on display and auction. Sources in the state government said, "If the visitors want to buy any of the items in display, they will need to fill up an offer form and quote the price of the item they want. Once the bidding is done, the highest bidder will get the item. The amount collected from the auction will go into the Kanya Kelavani (Girl Child Education) Fund."
The other items in the auction include valuable gifts made from silver like idol of Goddess Amba, a chariot made of silver, tray, idols of RadhaKrishna, Cow and Krishna. Apart from these, swords, clothes (Khhes), turbans, shawls, traditional half-sleeve jacket (koti), mementos, artifacts, temples, idols of Swami Vivekanand, among many others.
"We have kept the base prices of all the items lower than the market prices. Total value of all the items is estimated to be Rs40 lakh. However, the final amount collected will be much more than this. The item having the highest base price is a silver idol of Goddess Amba, which is estimated to be Rs1.25 lakh. The item having the lowest base price is khhes with an estimated cost of Rs50. The base price of Sachin Tendulkar's t-Shirt isRs1,000," said an officer while talking about the prices of items.
