MPCC president demands cricket museum in Mumbai to honour Sachin Tendulkar
Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee ( MPCC) president Manikrao Thakre has demanded that an international cricket museum be set up in Mumbai in honour of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
He has made the demand in a letter to chief minister Prithviraj Chavan.
He said that this museum should be based in the lines of International Olympic Museum in Switzerland.
"Sachin has been an icon of cricket and it will be an apt initiative for the future generations of the world to remember his contribution in eras to come," he said.
"While watching cricket, we have lived each moment ever since Sachin started playing cricket for the nation. His success has always been considered as the success of all the citizens.
This museum can make us preserve each moment of Sachin's career and relive those moments of thrill and excitement," he added. (PTI)
