Sachin Meets Bangladesh PM, Says Its a Great Honour
The only scorer of 100 international centuries, Sachin Tendulkar, met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gano Bhavan at her invitation on Monday evening.Emerging from the meeting room, Sachin told journalists that it was “a great honour for me to meet the premier of Bangladesh”.
Mentioning Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as a “cricket lover”, the Little Master said, “She likes cricket and follows cricket. As a premier, it is rare.” During the parley, younger sister of the premier Sheikh Rehana, son Sajeeb Wazed Joy and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President ANH Mostafa Kamal were among others present.
At the invitation of the premier, Little Master Sachin Tendulkar reached at PM’s official residence Gano Bhavan at 6:30pm.Sachin stayed there for 20 minutes and exchanged greetings with the premier and others.
Earlier, on March 16, Bangladesh beat India by five wickets in the crucial 4th match of Asia Cup, where Sachin Tendulkar scored his 100th international century. To greet the great achievement of the Indian cricketer in Bangladesh, the prime minister sent him sweets and bouquet.
