Approaching milestones for Sachin, Dravid
*Sachin Tendulkar (49), in case of a hundred in the Ahmedabad Test, would become the first batsman to complete 50 centuries.
In case of a fifty in either innings of the Ahmedabad Test, Tendulkar would be equalling a world record for fifties in eleven consecutive matches. At present, the said record is shared by three batsmen - Viv Richards, Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag.
Sachin has aggregated 1270 (ave.97.69) in 9 Tests in 2010. In case, he makes 123 runs in the Ahmedabad Test, he would be surpassing his personal best, recorded in 2002 - 1392 (ave.55.68) in 16 Tests.
*Rahul Dravid (198) needs two catches to become the first fielder in Test annals to complete a double century of catches.
Dravid (16) requires one catch to establish a record for most catches by an Indian fielder against New Zealand. Ajit Wadekar had also taken 16 catches against New Zealand.
*Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar have recorded four centuries each against New Zealand. In case Dravid hits a 100, he would be the first to post five centuries in India-New Zealand Tests.
