.

There is large-scale speculation that Tendulkar will hang his boots after the 2011 World Cup.
The Indian tour to England is just three months after the end of the 2011 WC. Will Sachin be tempted to stretch his retirement plan till after the English summer? There are plenty of reasons why Tendulkar would be swayed to play in England. Sachin's English love
For Sachin, England has always been special. Not just from a personal point of view but also from a cricketing perspective. Especially, two of his most special career moments have come while playing in England.
First test century at Old Traff In his debut series in England, Tendulkar was all of 17 years and 112 days when he scored a Test century at Old Trafford. The 100 knocked the sails of English bowlers who had virtually guaranteed themselves of a test win before the little master walked into the middle. At 186-6, India awaited yet another Test loss away from home, but Sachin had plans of his own. In rear-guard action that would have made the original 'little master' Sunil Gavaskar proud, the teenager pulled his team towards the safer shores of a draw. Sachin finished with an unbeaten knock of 119 runs. This was Sachin's first century and the beginning of many more.

Best ODI 100 at Bristol
Easily the best of nearly 50 centuries he has scored so far in his illustrious ODI career, the one against Kenya in the 1999 World Cup was also the most emotional one. It was a courageous moment in Sachin's life as he had lost his father just a few days before the match. The innings was a testimony to Tendulkar's committment to his country. Where an ordinary person would be shattered, Tendulkar picked himself up and put country before self.
Fans and critics would only wish that Tendulkar arrives in England for the series in 2011 and once again recreates his magic. The four-match Test rubber will begin at Lord's on July 21 while the fourth and final Test at The Oval will be held from August 18, the ECB announced today.
A one-off T20 is scheduled to take place on August 31 and would be followed by the best-of-five ODI series between the two teams from September 3-16.
Sri Lanka would visit England prior to India for a similar tour.
ECB Chief Executive David Collier said that the fans in England can expect two high quality series against India and Sri Lanka.
"With India currently the number one ranked Test side in the ICC Test Rankings and Sri Lanka in third place, England supporters can expect to see two exciting npower Test Series against high quality opposition," he said.
"Both teams will also provide a tough challenge for England in the shorter forms of the game in what promises to be a highly competitive and entertaining summer of international cricket all round," he added
