Tendulkar injures hamstring, Returns Home
Johannesburg: Sachin Tendulkar has injured his right hamstring and is in doubt for the rest of the ODI series against South Africa.
Three matches remain.
“Sachin’s being assessed, nothing more can be said at the moment,” a member of the touring party told The Telegraph, late on Saturday.
The master bat picked up the injury during his innings of 24 in the second ODI, at the Wanderers.
Sachin stayed away from limited overs matches for 11 months and the ongoing series is his first since the one at home, versus South Africa, in 2009-10.
Ironically, Sachin got injured on the very day he equalled Sanath Jayasuriya’s record for the maximum ODI appearances — 444.
