Sachin enjoy others’ success, says Suresh Raina
India's star batsman, Suresh Raina, has heaped praise on his senior teammate and legendary cricketer of all times, Sachin Tendulkar, for his charismatic character which is a source of motivation for the all the players.
The youngster have revealed that Tendlya always supports junior cricketers and feels glad to see them succeeding, claiming that his moral back-up contributes greatly to the Men in Blue’s victories.
Talking to the media today, Raina said, “I feel that the best thing about Sachin is that he enjoys the success of others. That makes him all the more special for all of us.”
With 22 years in International cricket, the highest runs in both Test and ODI formats of the game, the Master Blaster commands great respect both in India and outside. The cricket crazy Indians worship him as the God of Cricket.
The Little Master has had an immaculate career. He has always been helpful for the young players. The best thing about him is his humble attitude both on and off-field. The traditional opener is currently vying for his 100th International century before hanging his boots. Raina hopes that the legend will soon be able to lash the long-awaited ton.
Apart from applauding Tendulkar, Sanu has also paid tribute to his mentor and rock-star batsman, Rahul Dravid, who is just second to Sachin in India. Raina has admitted that he owes his career to The Wall who supported him much, both morally and technically in the beginning.
The young talent told, “I cut my teeth in test cricket when Rahul bhai was the skipper. He is a very focused and disciplined player.I really owe to him for showing faith on my abilities. I was down and out when I was bowled by Murli on the very first bowl that I faced in test cricket. In the evening, Rahul bhai came to me and told me to relax as I have still long way to go.”
The 24-year-old left-handed batsman has represented Team India in 15 Test, 130 ODI and 22 T20I matches so far, scoring 710, 3172 and 583 runs in the three formats respectively. He has also happened to lead the team in some International fixtures.
