Relaxed Sachin Tendulkar unwinds with football
A relaxed Sachin Tendulkar - a century away from a historic 100th international ton - seemed relaxed as he played football, did some knockings and had fun during Team India's practice session at the Eden Gardens here on Saturday.
Up 1-0, India play West Indies in the second Test of the three match series Nov 14-18.
Tendulkar was joined by all his teammates except Rahul Dravid and V.V.S. Laxman in the soccer session, that continued for about half an hour.
Team India fielding coach Trevor Penney then gave some knocking practice to Tendulkar with some throwdowns. The master Mumbaikar, a perfectionist in the art of batting, initially seemed a trifle unsatisfied with his timing, but improved after a few minutes.
In between, Tendulkar and Yuvraj shared a few jokes, much to the amusement of some other players.
All members of the Indian squad, except off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, took part in the three hour practice session. Ashwin has stayed back in his hometown Chennai, where he will get married to childhood friend Preethi Narayanan Sunday.
He will fly to Kolkata the same night for the Test match beginning Monday.
