Dinesh Karthik Excited To Play Alongside Sachin For Mumbai Indians In IPL 5

Dinesh Karthik has signed up with the Mumbai Indians for the next IPL season. In the last IPL auction, Kings XI Punjab had acquired Karthik for a whopping $900,000.

Karthik told DNA that playing with Mumbai Indians should give him an opportunity to showcase both his wicketkeeping and batting skills.

“Since Adam Gilchrist is the number one wicketkeeper-batsman for Kings XI Punjab, I can play in the side just as a specialist batsman. Playing for Mumbai Indians, however, gives me a chance to double up as keeper. And yes, what better incentive than being in the same dressing room as Sachin Tendulkar,” said Karthik.

The Tamil Nadu ’keeper played for Delhi Daredevils in the first three seasons. He had a base price of $200,000.
