Last year's runners-up, Mumbai Indians, begin their campaign to win the elusive IPL trophy with a game against the Delhi Daredevils. They have made a few changes to their team but having kept the core group of Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, Lasith Malinga and Kieron Pollard, they have strengthened their squad by the inclusion of players like Rohit Sharma and Andrew Symonds.

That Ambati Rayudu was uncapped also allowed him to be retained so the Mumbai Indians have done a thorough job in their recruitment this time around. How that translates into wins will depend to a great extent on the fielding for it was in this area that they were a bit short last time around. Not having a regular keeper also hurt them and utilizing the experience of Kiran More this time is another masterstroke by them.

Delhi Daredevils have lost some key players to other franchisees but they have got Virender Sehwag still with them and if he decides like he did in the just concluded ICC World Cup that he will try and bat right till the end, then the Delhi team has a great chance of putting up big totals. Sehwag is the kind of player who can take the game away from the opposition and Delhi will be relying heavily on him to fire.
