Tendulkar completes 18,000 runs in ODIs

India's batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar Thursday completed 18,000 runs in One-day Internationals (ODI) during the World Cup quarterfinal against Australia.

Tendulkar, who has 48 ODI hundreds, was 45 short of the milestone when he went into bat. 

 

A single off Brett Lee to sweeper cover in the penultimate ball of the 14th over got him to the figure and soon, with a brace off the other paceman Shaun Tait, he got his fifty off 61 balls.
