Sachin And Seniors Will Be Crucial To India's Success In England ~ Yuvraj

Yuvraj Singh believes India’s batting ‘legends’ have the experience to help their side overcome swing-friendly conditions for the upcoming tour of England.
Yurvaj, player of the tournament during India’s ICC World Cup victory earlier this season, is hoping to make the starting XI for the first Test at Lord’s - which starts on 21 July.
He is battling with Suresh Raina for a place at Lord’s in a batting line-up which will also include Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and the great Sachin Tendulkar.

Confident

India are ranked number one in Test cricket and beat England in their last home and away series meetings.
England have lost just one Test series since they were beaten in India late in 2008 though, and are considered favorites for the series in the eyes of many people.

Yuvraj - who is yet to play a Test in England - is confident India’s prolific top six can negate the swing and seam movement which is sure to aid England’s bowling attack.
He said: “I was part of the team that won the Test series under Rahul Dravid, and the legends in the team – Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman - are always around to help.
“The swinging conditions are bound to be quite difficult and challenging but at the same time we are aware of those conditions.
“Most of our batsmen have played in England and are fully aware of the challenges that lie ahead, as do I.”
